Gracie Mae
Gracie Mae is a Golden Doodle who was born on June 11, 2021. Her mom was an English Cream Golden Retriever and her dad was a white Standard Poodle. She was the runt of the litter and is a perfect 44 pounds. Gracie Mae was the best birthday present a lady could receive. Lisa’s husband, Jack, got special kudos for bringing Lisa this long awaited family companion and future therapy dog.
Employed as a physician assistant (PA) in orthopedics for over 30 years, Lisa regularly saw therapy dogs visiting her patients in the hospital. Realizing the blessings these dogs made on her patients, Lisa knew that, when she retired, she would love to give back in the hopes of having a therapy dog that could bless others.
Several years ago, Lisa, Jack, and Gracie Mae moved to Florida where Gracie Mea's training began. She successfully completed puppy, beginner, intermediate, and advanced obedience training.
She also completed therapy dog training. Gracie Mae loves to join Lisa and Jack regularly on outings to dog-friendly locations such as the mall, stores, and restaurants. She is making new “friends” duringall of her outings. Gracie Mae is so calm and sweet and is the best at snuggling in for some loving.
Lisa has been actively involved in ministry for over 20 years. She is so thankful that God has led her and Gracie Mae to Comfort Canines for Christ. Gracie Mae has been a true blessing in Lisa’s life and they are so excited to see what God has in store for Team Gracie Mae during this journey.
