Elle
Elle is a Border Collie who was born August 23, 2024 in Live Oak Florida and is getting smarter and smarter as she matures. Her mother is a show dog and her father is a working dog, giving her a combination of energy and gentleness in just the right measure for ministry. Before Victoria ever brought her home, God gave her and another church member dreams confirming her name. One dream showed Victoria holding a green leash, representing a new start.
Even though Elle learns extremely quickly for a puppy, she hasn’t always been easy to train due to her refined tastes. Out of 263 different treats and counting, her favorite foods are aged Wagyu cooked well-done and pecorino romano cheese. More than that, she loves to run with Victoria on her scooter and chase water splashes made in the pool.
She has formally completed through Intermediate Obedience. Together, she and Victoria have earned multiple American Kennel Club titles, including Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA), and Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU)— titles that highlight her relatively steady temperament for the breed and her ability to remain focused in real-world environments. Elle has also earned trick dog titles up to Trick Dog Advanced (TKA), and her handler would like to one day earn Elite Performer when she has the time. The AKC Scentwork Detective (SWD) title is yet another future
goal for the team, as Victoria believes there’s truly nothing Elle can’t do if given the right instruction.
Those who meet Elle often notice her strong eye contact and how responsive she is to Victoria’s guidance. Whether demonstrating a fun trick or allowing someone to pet her soft fur, Elle is a faithful partner in ministry. Victoria and Elle look forward to bringing the light of Christ to Winter Haven, Florida, as part of Comfort Canines for Christ. Together, they are ready to share comfort, hope, and joy— one visit at a time.
