Canine Ambassador
Brandi

Brandi is an eight year-old Golden Retriever who was born on February 7, 2016.  She is a very loving and calm girl who loves adults and children. At that time, I was not looking for another dog since I already had a male who was doing therapy work, but God had other plans.  A Golden Retriever breeder contacted me about a female dog that she needed to find a home for.  I purchased her at the age of 2 and immediately enrolled her in obedience classes.  She was a star pupil and progressed to advanced classes earning her CGC (Canine Good Citizen), title.  Soon afterwards, she was enrolled in intensive therapy dog classes earning her Therapy Dogs International (TDI) classification.  For over five years, we visited nursing homes, hospitals, and schools through a secular organization.  This was fine until I retired from teaching in Christian schools.  Teaching had been my ministry, and I wanted to continue in a Christian ministry but knew of no Christian therapy dog organization.  Then a college friend, who lives in Bradenton, told me about Comfort Canines for Christ, who were in the area doing a presentation.  I attended the presentation and felt God

leading me into this ministry.  For just the few times Brandi and I have "shadow visited," we have thoroughly enjoyed it.  Brandi was excited to get in the car to do visits again.  She is a a girl who needs people and loves traveling.
