Bella
In the fall of 2020, Kathy Graham advised that she had decided that she wanted (demanded) a dog now that husband Kevin had retired from his business travels. Her exhaustive research came up with the perfect breed to her liking; hypoallergenic, non-shedding and high intelligence/trainability were the requirements — a Standard Poodle fit the bill on all accounts. Further informing her spouse (you get the picture) that a white, female, AKC Standard Poodle was just the ticket, Kevin began to hatch a plan. Finding a most reputable breeder locally, Kevin secretly was able to finagle his way onto a waiting list and in the middle of the night of October 17, 2020, Bella became part of the Graham family, just two days before Kathy’s own birthday.

From the get go, it was obvious that Bella was special. She had a unique blend of social grace, a deep affection for people and an absolutely scary smart brain. With an end goal of therapy ministry work (originally felt to be toward pediatric wards), Kathy threw herself into

daily training exercises, obedience classes and a mentoring regimen by seriously experienced regional trainers. Seeing the amazing growth of Therapy team Bella & Kathy, Kevin soon wanted to be a partner in the joy of a flourishing upstart ministry. Soon the Graham team of three was regularly providing the amazing skills of Bella within the local community. The display of love and compassion to those they came in contact with swiftly expanded into the sharing of gospel messages and the display of Christ’s mercy to an extensive list of local nursing facilities, hospice houses, hospitals, schools and churches. Success was found on all fronts and while Bella grew into somewhat of a local celebrity, she simultaneously opened countless ministry opportunities.

What could possibly make this team better and what could be a fitting augmentation? Well as the late Paul Harvey said: “…….. and now, the rest of the story “. Enter little sister, Ruby.
